Opinions on grill block options

Just wanted to see what your thoughts were on my grill block for Saturn SL2. Please see pictures. One is stock photo and the other is the grill block options specifically targeting how to block the two very wide and narrow ovals.

Also, I'm wrapping up my wooden body pan ... not sure if that would affect which grill block is used.

Option B is good. You can also use pipe-insulation tubing to block the grill. It's dark-colored so it's "stealthy", you can just wedge it in without gluing, and it's easy to yank out if you are overheating.

Thats a great tip CFG. Finally have some use for the left over pipe insulation in the basement.

all in all i don't think there's a huge difference, but perhaps having a look at how the actual radiator is positioned could be helpfull... on some cars this is set slightly to one side.

perhaps it's also a good idea to trace where the engine pickes up it's air. on my car this is in the same cavity as the radiator sits and leave an opening closer to that.

i've seen a few cars with assymetric factory grillblocks, so i don't think symetry other than visual has a big imact either.

I'd focus on giving the air a direct, smooth duct to the rad. That probably favours "A."

Bicycle Bob, thanks for reminding me to insert a guide for the air flow. I've been busy tweaking my fully belly pan and forgot about that.
