Geez, I have an orange juice carton in my refridgerator that is basically the same thing. But apparently this kid invented it. I guess the people at CNN don't go to the grocery store.

if they could ban 13 inch tires on every car that has four of them..this plastic bottle thing would be using an orange juice carton, also hardly needing reinvented. one is wanted to wear down quicker than the other.

It's not about "wearing down" or "it worked before, why mess with it"...

Been to the grocery store lately? 2 liter pepsi is cheaper than 20 oz pepsi. Plastic is expensive to manufacture, and as a result, raises the price of things that it contains exponentially. There's also the thing about plastic (PET) bottles taking 300 odd years to physically break down... paper doesn't take nearly that long, and is therefore a better option because it's both more environmentally friendly, and is more easily/cheaply recycled.

Oh - plastic is made from petroleum... ya know, the stuff we all should quit using.
