Paradoxically FE & aero?

Protoscar LAMPO: AWD Solar-Powered Electric Roadster Fun

An AWD electric convertible powered by a solar farm in Seggiano, Italy. The discordant themes abound from product development to power outputs. Does it spur speculation or confusion?

...at least it has rear wheel well covers...

(Looks like it is based on the Opel GT)

Eh .. All I can draw from this is the fact that most manufacturers are not designing cars around aero yet, they are just adapting aero parts to current projects.

For example, thinking back to any vehicle that actually had sideskirts, they looked like they were meant to be part of the design, not a cover built to fill in a wheel well.

But it can be argued that any effort is a good effort, so Kudos for trying ..

To me, it looks like it could be a Miata hiding under there.

That's what I was thinking at first, but the current gen Miata doesn't have a tapered waist.

Yeah, but the "lumps" behind the headrests are Saturn/Pontiac/Opel Sky/Solstice/GT giveaways.

The lighting is dark, but you can see pretty flat wheel covers.

It reminds me of a Tesla with rear wheel skirts.

paradox

I like it fine except for the roof. They should do a proper roof or lose the full windscreen and provide two bubble canopy windscreens to allow the head fairings to do their job.Otherwise, everything is embedded within turbulence,at great loss to battery range.
