partual grill blocks

Was looking at doing a partual grill block. Issue im running into is the body drops into the grill. A bit so my carboard duct taped one from last year wasnt as aero as i like. Anyone use foam or something to that sort.
Also i have stupid fog light holes that create a drag that the body curves into. Anyone tryed filling in body holes with foam permenitly

2002 Hyundai Accent

I looked at your car online.
*I don't think that the fog light areas are a problem. There's a lot of body radius surrounding these buckets, and any disturbance would be very localized.
*The grille opening is also surrounded by a vast area in which the air is attacking, holding the flow against the body.Whether the grille block is flush,or recessed won't make much of a difference as far as drag goes.
Be careful,it looks like Hyundai has already blocked off a lot of the area near the radiator.Watch your temps closely.

Does the grill block have to be on the outside of the body, or does merely blocking off the actual radiator serve the same function?

Outside works the best. Blocking the radiator is not as good but better than nothing.

or does

If the block is done flush with the body, you've bought some distance from the radiator face which can be turned into an airtight, diverging duct,as Chrysler did with their Daytona Charger.
It's this ducting which allows the opening to be only 1/6th the radiator height if it's depth is equal to the radiator height.
