Physicists build circuit that generates clean, limitless power from graphene.

"The team's next objective is to determine if the DC current can be stored in a capacitor for later use, a goal that requires miniaturizing the circuit and patterning it on a silicon wafer, or chip. If millions of these tiny circuits could be built on a 1-millimeter by 1-millimeter chip, they could serve as a low-power battery replacement." Phys.org: Physicists build circuit that generates clean, limitless power from graphene.

Thanks.

The animation doesn't speak to me. Needs some repetition and what's that circuit leg on the right?

It's going to end up in the museum of unworkable devices.

I just watched this yesterday.

That sounds achievable. I'd inline the relay and several charged tubes in a lightning arrestor and check them when the weather clears.

As a concrete amendment, 6 grams would reinforce 6kg of concrete. Combine that with basalt geomesh reinforcing and Roman Pozzolanic cement and you'd have something

Pozzolana - Wikipedia

The pozzolanic reaction is the chemical reaction that occurs in portland cement containing pozzolans. It is the main reaction involved in the Roman concrete invented in Ancient Rome.At the basis of the pozzolanic reaction stands a simple acid-base reaction between calcium hydroxide (as Portlandite*) and silicic acid.
Reduce this to a DIY procedure, and the mass of concrete structures would be reduced by the amendment, the mixture and the lack of need to protect the reinforcement from spalling.

The OP story about power might need a suitable environment. I propose the thermocline just outside the mouth of the Strait of Gibraltar.**

The Strait of Gibraltar is a channel with a permanent two-layer flow strongly modulated by energetic tidal currents. Compared with the open ocean thermocline, turbulent dissipation rates, ε, are high throughout the strait. Two flow regimes, however, have particularly intense dissipation: the lee west of Camarinal Sill during strong outflow of ...

How about this?

Phytomining - Mining With Trees - Could Save Our Planet

With Tesla getting the cobalt out, nickel becomes the next environmentally destructive resource. This suggests played out nickel mines could be remediated with plants to the tune of 1000s of tons, about 1/10th the output of destructive mining.

Didn't watch, but that image on the title screen...on the middle-right you have a capacitor, above which is a switch and on the far right is the load. Charge the cacitor, switch it over and discharge in to the load.

That's what I get out of it anyway.
