I think I just hit the magic number of posts, so here are some pics (hopefully)

Sweet! Are those donut spares? MPG?

Have you looked into the spare tire rims from the Honda Insight? I know of someone who used to be on here who used them, and they were significantly lighter...I know the donut rim on my car is ridiculously heavy - heavier than the 18 lb alloys I used to have.

Not bad at all, and I really like how you carried the door guard strip through the wheel well covers in the back.

the rims are spare tire rims from 02-2015 mini cooper, tires are Michelin 125-r15's. Nearly identical outside tire diameter as original 13" tires.

I will need to make a trip somewhere to use up a tank and get some numbers. Did all this modification, but haven't had to go anywhere lately!

Well, finally got through a second tank to get mileage numbers. After researching here and elsewhere, I deleted the hot air intake loop that I had on the first tank with very good results. First tank (with heated intake air) came in at about 37 mpg, this second tank (no heated intake air) came in at 48 mpg. Old school motor would have made sense to heat intake air, but with ECU modifying fuel and other factors based on temperature, it obviously is counterproductive.

Pretty happy with 48 mpg from an automatic transmission car !
