Pizza pan wheel covers - smooth or perforated?

I'm going to buy a set of pizza baking pans as wheelcovers and I have a dillema.
On one hand there are smooth pans which are a perfect aero choice - proven and nice looking.
On the other hand there are perforated pans - easy to mount with zip ties and probably allowing better brake ventillation.

Any help choosing?

Smooth is smoother. :)

Brake cooling has to be taken into account though. Most ecodrivers don't use their brakes hard/long enough for it to be an issue though.

If you live in mountainous terrain, that may be unavoidable.

Your brakes should get adequate ventilation from the inside edge of the wheel, I'd think. Ask around, it may be I'm totally wrong.

Next time you do brakes get ceramic pads along with drilled rotors. Heat will not be as big an issue then.

Seems like it would be better to have a hole on the opposite side too, to balance the forces and let a little more air in

Things are not always what they seem. ;)

Really, if you are a semi-decent ecodriver, and unless like Metro said, you're going down a mountain, you are not going to overheat your brakes.
