Plastic wrap aero wheel covers?
I've been thinking of just covering up my wheels with some plastic wrap in order to get some quick an dirty wheel covers since I can't drill my alloys.
Thoughts? Will it work as well? Will it not work at all because it would be impossible to attach? :turtle::turtle::turtle: |
I wouldn't say it's impossible to attach. Making it look good or acceptable would be a challenge.(for me at least!)
Otherwise you could try pushing the plastic with a blunt knife between the tire and rim ever so slightly so it will be clamped tightly. It should stay long enough for evaluation purposes or if you're like me, for ever! ollie |
Hi Ben,
What style alloys are they? I just realized that with a plastic disc, one could use cable ties through holes in the rim could work -- if you could put them on with the wheels on the car? |
Or, go over to the hardware store and pick up a roll of "aluminum tape." It's little more than self-adhesive aluminum foil. For me, 2 rolls at $5.99 each did all 4 wheels and left about 2/3 of the 2nd roll as extra/spare.
