2001 Prius, good runner... 44mpg avg PNW

car is located in Sequim, Wa (just west of Seattle)

45mpg 2001 Prius HYBRID 4 dr sedan

I'd consider $5000 cash or trade
possible trades include other commuter + cash
or a nice diesel commuter (Manual transmission)

this car is rated for 42/41mpg City/Highway
Compare Side-by-Side
I've been averaging 44mpg since I've owned it (documented, I can show you my records if you like)
once I even got 49mpg out of a tank !!

the car has some cosmetic damage on the passenger/rear quarter (doesnt cause any issues with the rear door sealing, opening, or latching)
Edit: I just realized, I don't have any pics of the passenger side (or interior)
if interested, I can get more pics
or you can just look at it

I would consider possible trades for Diesel commuter (manual Transmission)
specificly a VW Caddy (Rabit Truck)
or other commuter car + cash

The car is treating me just fine
Honestly it's just no fun to drive
I'm thinking an old Volkswagen diesel if I can afford one will be a lot more fun

Cool

Yeah, considering you got a 2010, prius 3 laying around.

You ever put that car (2010 Prius) in power mode and floor it?

the 2010 is alot nicer car (larger, hatch back, more power, ect...)
we just did a 1400 mile long weekend in oreogn with it last month

and last weekend,
we did a 4 day camping trip with it

I really wanna replace the 01 with an early 80's VW Caddy (Rabit Truck) Diesel/5sp
I should get similar fuel economy
and it's got alot more character (and about the same value)

I have cruised around my local CL listings
and mine is the cheapest (Running) first gen (01-03) prius out there

The 80s water cooled vw did not have over drive, you want at least an 82 unless the car was a franken car.

You lucky to break 50 mpg in those vehicles with todays diesel with the lower sulfur content.
