I can't remember if there is a thread dedicated to sketching out ideas.
- If so, mods please delete and consolidate this one.

I know there is an Ecomodder photo album, but I though a dedicated thread for doodles might be interesting.

I'll start with a modified image of a 1996 Pontiac Firebird.
This would be lengthened in the back by 16 ", and have wheel covers.
Other than that, it just has a mirror delete.
The other picture has the front bumper cut, and has added CamAERO ( How's that for a name ? )headlights tucked in there. a splitter, and other minor mods.
The stock flip ups / air brakes could still work, but be on a seperate switch.

Idea of course inspired by the EV-1, the AeroCivic, Svens' Anal Probe, the Porsche Longtail racers, and various 1990s' concept "future" cars.

This is what my vision of the future was in high school.
I never would have guessed we would instead be driving bloated cartoon cars, grafted onto a truck chassis.

Great idea -- Here are pictures I drew in high school or college.

This one is from 2013, an EDAG concept car stanced and skirted:

I'll include this one because I've cut up a die-cast 1/18th scale model and my ambition is to 3D print a nautical barrelback tonneau cover for it.

In highschool I was just getting into cars. I wasn't too interested in cars (atleast real ones, I always played NFS games though) until I got my own, the 95 Astro, which I still have. I wanted a 3rd gen camaro, vw beetle, vw rabbit, or a del sol. Most of my sketches/daydreams were of the del sol though.

I posted this picture of a Type 181, and kach22i did a faster backwards reinterpretation.

Freebeard ! I had no idea you were such a good artist.
Redneck - I like the attention to detail, like the Realtree camo on the bikini.

It comes and goes depending on the software I'm not as fluent in The Gimp as in Photoshop. The rendering and modeling software I used in the 2010s is deprecated. The modeling was worse but the rendering was better.

Here was Photoshop to tracing overlay [of the screen] to digital camera to Photoshop:

Tried to make some cartoonized sketches on my late teens. Not really good at it.

Good eye for detail but the lines don't flow. :)

I drove and washed the Superbeetle today, it's been neglected. But I did find this picture from when it was running hubcaps.

This was [to be] a full boat tail that preserved the air intake, but had the cooling air exit the back of the wheel arch, to wrap the airflow around the fender line.

I was never so good with perspectives.
