Can Run a Civic Gen 2 without IMA Battery ?

Has anyone experienced with running a second generation civic without IMA battery or IMA switch off or dead IMA battery ?

I have a dead IMA battery and as a result the 12V is not charged. Is there a way to turn the DC/DC converter on even without IMA battery functioning well? I searched many threads and found some modifications on Gen 1 civic but no luck with Gen 2.

Happy to hear your advises. I am ready to compromise all hybrid features there
