Puma Vedano Driving Shoe Review

I'd rather drive barefoot, but I got a good price on a set of snazzy Pumas. Fancy, yet painful) …

That's not a driving shoe!

THIS is a driving shoe...

I see no point in an overly-expensive shoe meant just for driving.

Athletic socks are my favorite for driving.

I'm partial to steel toed boots myself. My gauges show me how much to press or let off pedals.

Be carefull when removing shoes, if you brake or corner hard, one may end up under the brake pedal. And the next time you try to brake “oh noooo”

Mythbusters proved driving in heels is safe, so I always drive in heels.

“Mythbusters Proved”

That is quite an oxymoron you got there.
:)

Barefoot, thanks.

Your feet must be smaller than mine. Boots start being a problem in many cars for me, often catching the widest part of the sole on the brake pedal when applying gas or clutch. Size 13W...

Even so, I hardly worry about it. I just drive with whatever shoes I happen to be wearing.

I've always wanted a Puma driving boot, but my feet are just too damn wide.

I'm using synthetic flat-soled soccer shoes now.

(currently using these. Don't laugh about the color, don't have much choice out here)

Allows a lot of flex at the toes, comes with a nice thin sole and rolled heels.

Better than driving barefoot.

I sometimes drive in aquasocks, but those are a bit too flexible. I like the sole to be a bit stiff.

When you said "soccer shoes" it got me thinking about field soccer. But these one seem more suitable to futsal. When I was still learning to drive, I have used futsal shoes to drive a few times.

They are indeed futsal shoes, but I don't know how familiar everyone here is with the term. ;)

Sure. Well, I used to be a good goalkeeper in my school days.

I was track. We used futbol shoes with the rear spikes sawed off for sprinting. :p

Anyway, it seems like futsal shoes are already good enough for driving.
