A quick hubcap/wheel cover question
Hello everyone. I have a 2009 Yaris with butt-ugly stock wheel covers.
(These: http://tinyurl.com/6loyrcv ) I hate them, so here's what I have in mind; a set of Volvo covers (These: http://tinyurl.com/7zfgjsj ) My question is the following: If both my current covers AND the new ones are 15" diameter, are the Volvo ones going to fit? I've never had a car with steel wheels before---my old Ranger had alloy wheels---so I've got no idea about fitment. I worry about a depth difference between different steel rims. Looking at the ebay listing for 4 of the Volvo covers, the spring-clip deal on the back looks the same. I just don't want to spend $40 on some wheel covers and have them not fit. Ideas? Opinions? Experiences? Thanks everyone. (BTW I know the new ones aren't exactly the most aerodynamic in the world, but I'm fond of them and kind of don't care  ) ~Matt |
Aren't these things all made alike ?
If you get aftermarket stuff, they'll all fit the rim size they were made for, regardless of car manufacturer. |
That's what I thought, it just seems that no matter what I do I overlook some stupid thing >.>
I was just wondering if maybe the offset of the wheel could be different and would mean it wouldn't fit. |
I would say that as long as both rims are the same diameter they should fit. If they dont the question is can they be made to, and are you willing to do the work to make them fit if they do not.

If I were to buy aftermarket caps, which I will at some time, I'd first try to fit them. |
