Recommended front-end suspension rebuild on a 92' Civic VX

Hey all. Hope your labor day holiday was less laborious as mine. Cutting to the point, I just had new tires installed yesterday and the tech showed me something very troubling. He gripped my wheel/tire and shook it vigorously showing extreme play and wobble. Suffice to say, my front end is shot. But I'm curious on which components (or which are crucial to having a proper alignment) I should replace. Tire rods, control arms, even wheel bearings? I also plan to buy the parts from rock auto.com, but when I browse their inventory, I don't see VX listed as a model but a lot more of the CX LX etc. Are the suspension parts in question interchangeable between all of these trim lines? And if not, which are the VX compatible with?

Thanks so much for any help.

You local tech can show you which parts are worn. Those are the parts you need. My guess is outer tierods first and maybe the lower ball joint. Also look at the rubber bushings at the inner pivot of the upper arms.
All these parts are interchangable within the model generation (ie 96-00)

Yeah pretty much was I was going to do. Thanks for the info on interchangeable parts too.
