Repairing vinyl seat rip (motorcycle)

The other day I noticed a very small tear in my otherwise perfect motorcycle seat. It is roughly 1/4" long by maybe 1/16" wide at most. I googled and found you can get vinyl repair kits. Has anyone ever used these? Do they work? Can you recommend a good kit?

Thanks!

I swapped the seat that had similar damage and took the one that was not damaged.

I have never tried a vinyl repair like you are describing. My thoughts would be based on whether the upholstery is easily removeable. If so then repair it on the inside with some fabric and flesxible adhesive to handle any stretching. You want to close the gap so the split is just two pieces right against each other. Now your external repair is not structural, just cosmetic. Fill it with adhesive silicone sealer and clean away any excess before it dries.
