2001 Honda Insight Hybrid

Spoke with the owner, and he'd part with it for $2000. Blue, 193k miles, needs a few things. Fuel gauge doesn't work but it's easy to keep track of fuel by resetting the trip counter after each fill up. Also, it's throwing a CEL for degrading catalyst, owner has been getting it through emissions by resetting the computer before going in.

New cat: ~$350
Possibly new O2 sensors, $80 + $150 for upper and lower

Car had a new CVT installed by Honda at ~150k and it's still under warranty. Original battery, no IMA light. Uses no oil. New rotors and pads, new summer and winter tires (didn't ask what kind).

Seems like a fair deal to me.

Car looks nice from the pics, but it was forcing regen at idle, not a good sign for the IMA battery. Pretty decent lifetime mpg for a CVT though, and the price is right!
