Research - Parts - Weights

Hi,
I would like to build a database with car parts - and weights, and hope anyone who puls or replaces parts could provide the specifics of the parts in question - Like - Make - Model - left/right - etc., with it's actual measured weight.

IE:
Pontiac firefly - Engine - 298.5 lbs (Helpfull but a bit short on info)
better: 1989 3-Cylinder Fuel Injected Geo Metro with starter attached, 327.25 lbs

Thats a hefty undertaking. Why do you want to do this?

Robert,
you may want to start by checking the details from mainstream replacement makers who need to quote weights for shipping purposes.

A huge undertaking I must agree and good luck with it all.

Pete.
