Reason for thread: I had a PM from Formula413 about returning life to his Yam XT125, 1983 with some questions which I am happy to answer to be best of my ability
The forum rules prevent me from either PMing him or emailing in reply, so this seems to be my only course of action.

I will not paste Formula413's questions without his approval, so I will await that.

However my Ducati 350 Sebring has been sat in the back of my garage since 1985 - the only reason I stopped using it was a final drive bearing failing, and acquiring a Superdream (theres a paranym for you:D) to go to business school on.

So resurrrection log of the Duke offered, help with Yam 125 also offered

Had her from new, about 150K miles including 2 runs to Italy over the Alps (even visited her birthplace in Bologna). Well deserving of my attention!

My mind boggled for a day or two after you posted. A sidecar on a Duke:D

My (preboggled) mind is imagining a light frame for the sidecar (titanium?) and a replica Stieb s/a chair made in say, balsa with tissue paper covering. the whole enchilada should be 2 or 3 pounds total weight (without a wheel) Perhaps the wheel could be non-rotating with either an anti-gravity fitment to keep it up or a hover-pad.

Not by me, I fear.
Triangular tyres (that's Tires to you) and featherweight frame and forks would not translate well for sidecar use.
