Retiring my SE-R
I'm giving it away to my daughter's family. It has about 93,000 miles on it. I hypermiled it the past 20,000 miles, averaging 38.02 mpg over those 20k miles (171% of '08 EPA).
Compared to EPA (22 mpg combined estimate), I saved 384.8 gallons, and $1073.62 over those 20k miles. I used 528.43 gallons to drive 20,091.2 miles, at a total cost of $1474.31, or 7 cents/mile in fuel costs. And she still accelerates 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds. |
You posted in success stories. This belongs in "Fail Stories".
j/k j/k. Well, with only 93k on it, that car should provide your daughter's family with many reliable miles in the coming years. What're you replacing it with? |
This is the end of a success story. 37mpg is not bad. Will the 48mpg Toaster be replacing it?
How long have you had the Sentra? |
I'll drive the Scion xB until I see how the electric, hybrid, and small turbo econocar markets fare. I've averaged >50 mpg in the xB in four of my last five tanks of gas.
|
oh, sry. I missed the xB. Good job! I had no idea it only had a 1.5L... ...I might need to scan the classifieds, haha!
