Reverse Trike in Stockholm
I've been traveling and saw this last week in Stockholm... Beautiful ride... really makes me want to build one!
http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-a8...tockholm-0.jpg http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-a8...tockholm-1.jpg It reminds me a lot of the small custom cars at maker faire when I went a couple years ago... those guys were getting great gas mileage without much aero work, just because of the small frontal area. This one had uncovered front wheels and a fairly smooth body... There was a V-twin engine set above the front axle, without any body around it, probably for looks, although i'd bet it was air cooled... :) |
Could be a factory produced Morgan.

That's a Morgan 3 wheeler, awesome fun to drive!!!

Oh yeah, sure looks like it! Cool!

It's the exact same one markings and everything. Scroll down my Morgan link.

Not sure if I would buy one if I had a chance, but I can't deny the Morgan looks interesting to say the least. But I'd rather not have the engine exposed this way.

Nothing made me happier than seeing Morgan producing more of these new from the factory.
Featherweight, super-simple, ridiculously fast and nimble for their size. A Morgan trike at speed must feel like a Lamborghini at Warp Five. I would rock that all day long. I live about an hour away from the Dragon. I would ABSOLUTELY take that to the Dragon. |
Very cool! Looks like what Richard Hammond drove on Top Gear once...

I remember Jeremy Clarkson rolling over in the Reliant Robin. But they have exaggerated about the Robin's tendency to rollover, that red one used in the test had some weight added at its right side to make it roll more easily. By the other side, a reverse-trike like the Morgan is way harder to have stability issues...
|
Did Hammond nearly roll his Morgan? I remember the comparo but haven't watched it lately, as I recall the Morgan, while minimalist and a bit of punishing ride in certain respects, was pretty stable.
