Rewiring switches for MPGuino
 

Hey guys.
I just received my MPGuino in the mail and I'm wondering how to go about rewiring switches to the silicon board.
I have a '94 Civic DX and I'm trying to do install like this:

I don't know if anyone has seen or done this particular install on the civic, but I'm pretty set on it.
I have some basic electrical experience and a little soldering experience, but I've never done anything with silicon boards or anything.
I see 4 terminals/solder points going to each switch on the original MPGuino board.
How would one go about running the switches to the steering column?

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi,
one option is to use small piece of prototyping board, like I did.

You need 4 wires - one wire per button and common ground.
Remove buttons from mpguino and put them on prototyping board.

Thanks! I actually got everything done pretty much the same way it is in the pictures I posted. It was a nightmare though. hahah I'll post pics soon.

Your screen and board are separated. Mine came glued together so I had to make due with that. I wound up running external switches and resoldering wires to the board, but it all works.

My screen and board are connected together with pin headers - I can separate them easily (can change screen if I want)
