Rolling resistance ratings ( sort of ) in Consumer Reports
Just in case you all didn't know it, anytime that Consumer Reports tests a tire, they test its' rolling resistance.
The latest issue for example has an article on tires that gives a rating for rolling resistance on all tires tested in the article. The catch ... the rating given for the tire is not numerical, but rather the standard practice of giving a product a certain number of stars ( or dots in the case of Consumer Reports ). Where I see hope in this is that they might possibly be willing to share the actual numerical data if requested . ( hmmm... or not :( ) Anyone subscribe to C.U. here ? I doubt they would give the information to a non subscriber. |
