Safety on news: surprising
First that CBS TV coverage head-ons (offset about 3 feet) then a USA Today article online- same test. Comments (about 12 pages) were all over the map about safety of small versus large cars.
A Smart car was one head-on test and it bounced off and discinigrated! Sure makes me wonder about my interest in the Xebra PU safety! Didn't make me feel as safe as I used to in my City-EL! |
As whatever commentator I heard on the radio mentioned, these types of crashes are so rare that they are no included in the federal crash safety testing regimen.
Don't worry too much. |
This business opened up last week in Santa Cruz:
Cruz Carz Even though the City-el is taller with the top up, I am sure I will have to listen to a lot of safety talk. Probably more now! They have 10 of those rentals, so I am not joining the 3-wheel roads only with 2 Xebras any more - so much for being unique! |
The Baltimore CBS station covered this story in a strange way. They made it sound that buying larger cars is essential to living a healthy life. And buying a small car is similar to committing suicide.
I guess I can't live a healthy life. |
