FOR SALE: Automatic Transmission from a 1994 Geo Metro Hatchback plus many more parts
I realize most Geo owners have 5-speeds, but if someone is in need of an automatic look no further. This is about as new as they come people...60 original miles!!! Also, I have the torque converter, flex plate, starter, wiper motor, EGR valve, intake manifold, throttle body, complete wiring harness, ECM/computer, both complete axles, various control modules for auto trans and fuel, AC compressor with mounting bracket/pulley and belt...sorry, 3 cylinder engine is not available.
Like I said, all parts have 60 original miles and are in beautiful condition. Please send me a PM with your contact info if you are interested in anything listed above or have any questions. I live in the metro Detroit area but am seriously considering attending Johnny Mullet's "GeoPalooza 2008" in mid September. I could bring some parts with me if you also plan to attend. |
60 miles! OK, what's the story? (Did I miss a thread?)
|
No, you didn't miss anything...lol
I found an ad on Craigslist a few days after buying my 1995 Metro HB that had a engine/trans combo out of a "1996" Metro. (It turned out to be out of a 1994 Metro) The car had been donated to a local high school back in the day and was totally dismantled by the autoshop class in the name of education. The guy I bought it from was a school bus mechanic and it somehow ended up in his garage for the last 14 years. The "brand new" engine is already in my car... |
Wow - "new" engine! :) You beat me - my car had about 2000 km on it when I bought it used almost 3 years ago.
I trust you posted the stuff for sale on teamswift too. Good luck! |
'94 parts
I'm looking for all ac parts except evaporator and compressor, thanks
|
@ allenfre - The Metro runs very well, thank you. Uses no oil between changes either.
@wwelder - Sorry, all I have is the "new" A/C compressor, no other A/C parts... Quick update of first post: I purchased a 1994 Metro with a bad valve and proceeded to swap out every part that I already had in my possession...except the compressor, wiring harness and trans module. My son now uses it for pizza delivery. Not long after putting the engine in my 95, I installed a Delta Cams' XFi camshaft but only achieved modest results. It has been said that the 1994 & older Metros benefit more from the XFi cam due to their lighter chassis, and that the newer body style Metro's actually need every ounce of their original 55 horsepower. I am leaning towards replacing the camshaft with it's original prior to GeoPalloza '09... |
