ScanGauge 2 vs. Vacuum Guage

I am new to ecomoddery and was looking to do some good tracking. I am much more partial to getting a MPG from the entire tank. With that being said I can easily do so just calculating it myself from my gas/miles at the pump. However, I want to make sure I am driving efficently; would a vacume gauge be my best bet? I also would rather not break the bank.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Jake

Spring for the SG for sure. The vacuum gauge shows you one thing, engine load. The scangauge shows you tons of readouts that can help you not only with driving, but testing out mods too.

Thanks I guess I will bite the bullet and purchase.

How about an Ultra-gauge? Less expensive if cost is an issue.

I would also recomend getting an ultragauge it was the alternative to a scangauge i went for. Now being in an automatic I use it more for rpms and diagnosing problems, tach is about 100 rpms off

believe me, just because you are calculating it one way now, you will ajust and marvel at the whole new world of what a scangauge will tell you.
You just think your content now.......

The ability to test a mod or driving techniic 'on the fly' is the coolest part of the sc.
