Scangauge II Won't Clear Code (get blank screen)

Sorry if this is redundant, but I couldn't find anything. Today I got a P0171 (System Too Lean) on my 2006 Honda Accord. I believe I found the issue. An air hose had come loose (probably loosened when I got my oil change and they checked the air filter). I reattached the hose and the car is now running much better. But I can't seem to clear the code. When I bring up the code, I choose clear. I get the Yes/No screen. I choose yes, and the display just goes blank. It's still lit up, so it didn't turn off. I have waited over a minute and in doesn't change. I want to get the code cleared to make sure I solved the issue and get rid of the check engine light. Any ideas?

Not sure what is going on with the SG but to clear codes you can also disconnect the battery for at least 20 seconds. The computer will have to run through all the readiness monitors again but the code will be gone.

Maybe email linear logic to see if they have ideas on why the gauge isn't performing properly.

I ended up disconnecting the battery. That did turn off the light. I am hoping that the problem is solved and it doesn't come back on later. I would still like to know why the SCII wouldn't clear the code.

Mine does that sometimes. Usually I'll shut the car off, turn the key back to on and clear the code. Then for good measure, do the same before I start it up.

It's a 1998 neon.

My 2008 smart gets a code every once in awhile and to clear it you turn off the engine and immediately turn the key back on without starting it and then hit the clear on the scangage, works every time so far.
