Thanks for posting that article. Yes, there is a difference between scientists and engineers.
I had a friend in engineering school 34 years ago whose father and uncle were rocket engineers, as opposed to rocket scientists. (His last name is Von Braun). :)
And then there are those who call themselves inventors who expect the machinist to do all the mechanical design for their inventions.:p
