Personal Gas Logs

Maybe this exists already.

But I've been working on an excel version of my gas logs. Share yours and maybe help out others with formulas.

Can you post your fuel log as an excel file and not a web page so I can click on a box and see your formulas...thanks!

Is there something more we should be adding to the garage? I wonder if we can add an "export to excel" button.

That would be awesome! I've always kind of wished that existed.

Export to excel would be nice bro!

How about some drop down boxes in the fuel log set up that allows you to customize your own fuel logs outside of the core categories (have to keep core to compare apples to apples among all drivers).

I keep my own excel fuel log that tracks additional info outside the ecomodder core categories but if I can do it in ecomodder garage and then export to excel it would be great. Maybe we can compile a list of fuel log add ons and have a vote as to what ones (maybe 6-10) we could add (if it's not too much work to add categories).

On my personal spreadsheet I added a formula to see is how much $ I saved vs driving an other vehicle. Basically it takes my mpg and estimated %city driving for the tank (and fuel cost per gal since it's a diesel and I compare to a gasser) and estimate how much fuel I would have used on a, say 24 mpg city / 35 mpg highway car to compute the savings. So that can be useful to track how much you are saving vs your other or past vehicles.

Let's see it!

Can someone help with math? I really don't feel like setting up some long drawn out problem when I'm sure there is a simple computer calculation.

How can I figure out average cost of gallon when I paid 1 gallon at a different rate? For example, 1 gallon at 4.39 and 10.25 gallons at 3.99.

A gal at $B and C gal at $D

(A*B+C*D)/(A+C) = Average cost per gallon

In your example (4.39+3.99*10.25)/11.25 = 4.03
