I missed his miss on that, but I do recall him mentioning on several occasions that he had been duped by the fake news.

Don't know how it'd have been news even if the kid were a racist if his crime was smiling at a guy. They're people stabbing women on busses and pushing them in front of trains by comparison.

Went to listen to the latest from Dinesh, which was on the 31st, only to hear that it was his final episode (started the podcast when Wu-flu hit). The reason I was interested is that his wife from Venezuela often appears on show and takes every opportunity to convey how much suffering Maduro inflicts on the country.

His daughter is taking over the podcast, but she lacks charisma, and depth of knowledge of history and philosophy.

Went to listen to the latest ... final episode

I have been listening to Alex Christoforou. On New Years day he mentioned that he'd broadcasted every day in 2025 and only missed one day in 2024.

I caught his broadcast Thursday night and went to sleep wondering what it would do to the price of Silver in the morning*. Turns out our guy are pretty competent at that sort of thing. Blowing up Hugo Chavez's mausoleum on the way out was the cherry on top.

*I looked into Smartmatic/Sequoia/Dominion but it turns out that was bought by Liberty Vote in 2025.

So Mr. Adams has accepted Pascal's Wager and announced he will convert to Christianity on his deathbed. Which leads me to wonder 'Why wait?'

Greenland has no pretext for overthrow, and doesn't have the oil resources to elicit such action, nor a despot that enrichens our foes.

Venezuela's sovereignty was violated, but when their own election processes are not followed, then they're not really a nation. Then the fact that their people are needlessly impoverished, the wealthy gangsters rule, and they support our enemies- any change cannot be as bad as it was.

The fact that Maduro is so stupid he can't read between the lines of narco boats being obliterated with overwhelming force multiple times exposes his hubris and ignorance. It was both a test of international acceptance, and a message.

Gas prices will go down, Venezuelan well-being will improve, and China and [Iran] will be deprived of an energy resource. Sounds like a win-win-win-win-win... but the envious loser types won't see it that way.

Regarding Pascal's Wager- some wait because they are adventurous and must exhaust all other options first. That, and the end approaches slowly, and then suddenly.

It astonishes me how the vast majority of Catholics I've known know nothing of Christianity. It's a hierarchy of authority and ritual and nothing else as far as I gather from them. "If I'm good enough, I go to heaven" exposes utter ignorance, and appears to be among the greatest weaknesses of Catholicism (or is it by their design)?

The problem with his understanding is that it's not a preservation of self strategy, but a sacrifice of self in the service of another kingdom in the hope of being a subject. He and I both suffer our natures to resist being humbled to the point of surrender to a master external to ourselves.

My only ask is that people who reject a thing understand it sufficiently to speak to what precisely they are rejecting, and what being accepted in its place.

I never understood why the drug boats didn't have some fishing poles bracket to the gunwales. It would have been a classic troll.

Fishing poles wouldn't help. Pictures I see show huge bales of wrapped something sitting on deck and typically 4 large outboard motors hung in the transom. Betcha there's sailboats smuggling and not being molested. I am aware there are container ships containing drug filled trailers. Suspect it is typical hubris getting the boats sunk because they are obvious and easy targets.

Seems clear sinking the drug boats wasn't about the drugs, and more about testing international acceptance of action against Venezuela, and multiple warnings to her dictator. The drug runners are political pawns that a handful will feign empathy towards... for political purposes.
