If your kiddos are typical, they currently have the capacity and capability to mimic whatever you do. They dont, but for series of odd explanations, mostly (imho) because they dont EXACTLY understand the context and know that mis-use causes some sort of punishment. My kids knew that dropping a big rock on a foot caused such verbage so therefore context was dropping said rock, which one day son managed to do. Every one present was embarrased. I think he was 6 at the time

Today's show 2844 is not to be missed, although SA will be.
I've been listening every morning since Oct 2018.

Sounds ominous. Cats in the thumbnail, but I'll override [my own] policy. It's queued up.
edit: A me too announcement?

In the vein of my prediction making-
In August of 2023, I said
"The person I'm most confident will not be POTUS is Biden. It amazes me he would jeopardize the party by not letting someone like Newsom become the nominee."
https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/th...03#post-883303
Then I went on to say-
"The reason why Biden will not have a 2nd term is simply that time is a cruel mistress. The odds of him breaking the record of oldest president in the full 250 years of US presidents a 2nd time in a row are low. Folks in their 80s ask where they put their glasses they are currently wearing, feed the dog twice because they forgot they already fed them, and stop pretending they are listening anymore. They have their last bicycle ride, start taking elevators, and get annoyed when things aren't just so.
Life forces a trade-off between sharpness and wisdom; and at some point diminishes both. The youth are sharp and unwise, the middle-aged dulling and full of wisdom, and the elderly just hanging on by a thread.
Here's the average age per rank in the military, and keep in mind they require retirement at age 62. This is not arbitrary.
Private (E-2) - 18 (join + 6 months)
Private First Class (E-3) - 19 - (join + 1 year)
Specialist/Corporal (E-4) - 20 (join + 18 months)
Sergeant (E-5) - 22 (join + 4.2 years)
Staff Sergeant (E-6) - 27 (join + 8.5 years)
Sergeant First Class (E-7) - 32 (join + 13.6 years)
Master Sergeant/First Sergeant (E-8) - 35 - (join + 17 years)
Sergeant Major (E-9) - 39 - (join + 20.8 years)
The average navy captain achieves rank around age 43. He's the old man on the boat. Biden's "captain" years occurred when I was born."

It wasn't meant as a political commentary so much as stating what was clearly obvious to even folks like me that don't follow politics. I just didn't know he also had cancer. He made a speech in 2022 where he admitted to having cancer.

I've been pre-lamenting the loss of Thomas for quite a while already, and continually surprised to see the smartest words still proceeding from his tongue.
We lost Walter Williams amidst the WuFlu.
This news didn't surprise me as far as the content, but in the feels. That stranger I've never met persuaded me to care. I listen to a lot of podcasts, but he made an impersonal show personal.

I wasn't going to watch (out of morbid curiosity) today, but the episode was quoted by Alex Jones, so cat thumbnail or no....
patriots.win:
Alex Jones: Scott Adams is incredibly brave to admit the ANTI-VAXXERS were RIGHT.
edit:
Yesterday was his best day in a while, like Tom Sawyer attending his own funeral.

Today's show sounded healthier than recent ones.
Yesterday was difficult. Grandmother died a couple months ago, prompting endless work finding various information, including digging through my grandfather's documentation which included conversations I'd had with him, and my cousin is in the hospital after a stroke paralyzed his left side.
My suspicion is that SA divorced Kristina either consciously or subconsciously after coming to terms with a likely terminal diagnosis in 2022. She had even Tweeted something about struggling with divorce and cancer at that time.
Regarding vaccination, SA always maintained it's a personal decision based on whatever a person fears most. Those who fear vaccine harm more than whatever level of perceived protection it would convey will not take it. Those who fear WuFlu more than their perceived level of danger in taking the vaccine, will choose to take the vaccine(s).
He was on the fence himself until his place in the vaccine line came up. Then he decided he'd rather travel than not, and that nudged him into getting it.

Sorrowful, of course, for your loss.
While people go back and forth over efficacy, my decision was based on the Nuremberg Code of 1947. Well, that and the free donuts. That was a tell.
