Not sure if it's the same exact car, but here's another Sentra owner planning some aero mods...

tuft testing on 93 Sentra back window

Is that a U13 or U14 Sentra? If so, it is called a 'Bluebird' in NZ, Europe, and I have a U12 one (1989) :)

Is your car Manual or Auto?

I had a '93 1.6 5 speed that would get 49.97mpg if I bled a very small amount of propane into the intake.

We have/had a 92 sentra, the only times I checked the mileage was when it was "sick" and it was around a 7L/100km car. Still ran fine but seemed to have lost 25% of its hp without seeming to run rich or lean and no CEL... That was back when gas was half as much and we didn't want to spend any money on it so it never got fixed. Eventually it rusted the back brake lines out among other things and that was it. Overall it was a good car, I wouldn't mind another one.

It was a good field car for a tank of gas (it flies pretty level) and now its in the field waiting for me to call up a scrap metal guy to take it away.

my old friend had a 91 sentra E 5spd. his got really good gas over 40mpg from what i recall. another economical gas-mizer besides the Civic.

Sounds like an interesting experiment for my car at some stage! Your car would have had the SR16DE 16-valve engine with specially designed flow to get the fuel-air-mixture to 'swirl' to improve low end torque (it works really well). Mine is a CA20e 8-valve engine, so may do well with something like this (kind of like hydrogen boosters, in a way).

mine does have the SR16DE , with a 5 speed . All i need to get is a used speedometer somewhere at a junk yard and i can start driving it .:) i am a fabricater and fitter/welder by trade so looking foward to doing some mods .
