Just something random that I picked up while not writing my progress reports that are due today:

I recall posting a link to something about making electricity from the material dredged up from bays and tidewater. I'm not going to search but it seems like it wasn't from bacteria. Possibly dense thermal depolymerization.

There was also getting electricity from flowing (not pooled hydro) water.

Personally, I think someone should Bore a Tunnel from Death Valley to the Pacific which would enable solar algae tanks for brewing liquid fuel.

I can bore people, animals, and automated phone systems, but I do not know if I can bore a tunnel.

Now that's a talent.

Have you ever been stuck with an automated phone system that insisted on verbal responses, but kept misunderstanding you?

I have used a number of systems that hung up on me once they decided I gave two invalid answers.

Maybe it was the same system, just different companies using it.

Haven't we all? I've had the system ask me to speak or key in the number and then interrupt when I'm half done. Then you have to experiment with talkingrealfast or slowly enunciating to find a input rate the system will respond to.

When it hangs up is that bored* or just rude?
