SG2 Frozen
I installed a SG2 in my 2006 Sonata on Tuesday and it was working perfectly. This morning I notice that it's stuck on the "home screen" (e.g. no buttons respond) with the wrong backlight settings and doesn't power down.
I have unplugged it for 20 minutes and on reconnecting the power it still doesn't work. Is there a way to force a reset without the menus? Cheers |
Bummer!
And, not that I know of, offhand. I would check with the manufacturer directly. I've found them to be very good at replying promptly: Contact Us : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge Please keep us updated here. |
One other thought: do you have access to a different OBD-II vehicle to try the gauge?

Email sent.
My Camry has pretend OBD-II (it has the right connector and pinout, but doesn't use an OBD-II protocol, thanks Toyota Australia), which originally powered the SG2 with the "Connecting..." message but now it just stays on the home display unresponsive. It'll be interesting to see if there is some magic key combination that when held resets the SG2. |
Heard back, apparently it's a known issue that has been resolved in recent revisions. They are sending out a new circuit board for me to swap out.

Glad to hear & thanks for letting us know.
