Side skirts?
would side skirts benefit in MPG?
not the ones that cover the wheel well but the ones that go alongside under the car like on a body kit? like on this-http://www.groundedconceptz.com/inc/images/294_IMG_1341.JPG but flat because id be making them myself |
Probably. I think they help keep the flow off the wheels attached or some such, kinda like a reeeeeeeealy long boattail from front wheel to rear wheel.

I think it would be worth doing, especially if you have the means to build them easily. Welcome to the forum.

I've been thinking of using white plastic rain drains for this because they are : 1 - Same color as my car 2 - Light 3 - Cheap, so I won't care if they break Someone on this site used them to create a very nice front bumper/air-dam extension. CarloSW2 |
Thanks for the idea!

Here's a pdf http://www.solusinc.com/pdf/SOLUSL&MLicOpp.pdf And looked at a few pics, http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...railerdemo.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...routfitted.jpg I've been wondering how to implement a double walled Mini-skirt on my ride.. PVC (plastic) rain gutters!! :D They are on a smaller scale, but so is my little CRV! http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...r/CRV/M083.jpg I've got a ton of ground clearance and will still have a few inches left over after adding some gutter under the doors. I think mine will be painted black.. :) |
