Skoda Octavia EPA rating: not available. Action?
How can we evaluate quality of a car if there aren´t official figures (EPA rating)?
My car may be homologated to some models of Audi and Volkswagen, provided they carry the same model and about the same size and weight. Maybe administrators of the site should do that. OldBeaver |
You can use a rating from an equivalent US model under another brand if you like, or use whatever local rating system rating you like

I think the Jetta is sold in the States with the 2.0TDI and the DSG, so is the A4:thumbup:

And yes, it's going to be far more difficult to improve upon that rating than on the more realistic EPA rating. For the 2009 Skoda Ocravia 1.9 TDI with DSG automatic and 77 kW of power it's : Combined: 5.9 l/100 km City: 7.7 l/100 km Extra-urban: 5.0 l/100 km CO2 155 g/km CO 0.095 g/km HCNOx 0.252 g/km PM 0.020 g/km NOx 0.232 g/km Your car's curb weight is not 1300 pounds, it's around 1300 kg ;) |
EPA rating for a Skoda Octavia
Thanks to all.
Yes, weight of Octavia 1.9 TDI is 1310 kg (not pounds!). As you pointed out, there are some cars sold in the US that are similar, like Audi A4, and I may use that figures. My question goes further: how can I input that EPA data standards in the site? This is accomplished automaticaly by Ecomodder system for cars sold in the US. As mine is not, how do I enter the data manually? Tks again. Oldbeaver |

Go to the Garage, click the "Edit" button, and fill in the values you've found or calculated in the appropriate boxes under "Fuel efficiency info". While you're at it, you can change the weight of the vehicle ;) Cars built on the same or a similar platform with the same engine, don't necessarily have the same fuel consumption figures. |
