U-shaped jack stand

I am not sure how I found this while watching compressed earth block construction, but it is something that I have kind of always wanted. I also wish that I had the $249 to purchase a pair. I would pay bills with it and use my $20 jack stands like a Neanderthal:

It entertains me that they use a Harbor Freight floor jack that costs as much as they charge for one stand!

If they sold enough, the price would come down.

This is the three-ton version: http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...1&d=1512541759

I am not sure that would fit under my Accord and I definitely wonder if I could use that with my Civic, but if you lift cars the Shouty Kilmer way, with just one jack stand in the middle, well, actually, sometimes that would be even less possible.

My issue is that I am supposed to lift the back of my Accord at the tow hook. I bought the biggest truck jack that Napa had and I cannot lift the back of my Accord high enough to fit jack stands under the pinch welds. I ended up putting a 4x4 under the crossmember and lifting carefully, but that did not seem like the right way of doing that.

Me when the narrator said "Over 9000" pounds.

One of the great things about the G1 Insight is it has a centre jack point so this is like never a problem, just jack the centre up and put the stand wherever it needs to go.

I've heard this said, but it's not in my owner's manual and I don't have any tabs at the center of mine, or any markings. When I recently jacked mine up, I put the floor jack next to the rear tab, with a block of wood to distribute the load. Can you take a pic of the center jack point on yours?

Pretty sure none of these products would fit under my car.

EDIT: Minimum height for the U-stand is 11 inches. That's pretty high! And I'd probably need to get a low profile floor jack to be able to get it under the car with their piece in between.

Fortunately, low-profile jacks are cheap at Harbor Freight, but when will they start making U-shaped stands?
