1992 Honda Civic VX For Sale - Miami, FL

Sold!!

1992 Honda Civic VX

Sold!!

The good:
It's a VX!
Florida car!
No CEL, newer 5 wire O2 sensor
Tons of new parts within the last 25k miles
Runs, drives, and shifts smooth, falls into lean burn nicely
Tracks straight, doesn't pull
It’s turnkey, just get in and drive!
Bulletproof reliable, and if it does break parts are cheap
A/C works, heat works
Cheap insurance and registration, in FL at least
Rare car, Canadian built, factory fogs, factory mud flaps
Alpine Stereo, iPod hookup in glovebox, and 8" bandpass box along with new Pyle speakers, sounds great!
Wolo horn, so much louder!
Rubber mats
Slightly lowered

The bad:
True mileage is unknown, approximately 400K+ would be my guess. Odometer reads 231K, I have the Autocheck that shows 347k miles in 2007. I've had it since 2012.
Paint is faded
Driver’s side door has a dent in the lower front, closes fine, doesn’t leak
Accident in August 2014 (only accident ever, it was repaired properly)
Red plastidip hood
Rear defrost doesn’t work
Surface rust around fuel door and along rear edge or roof
CD player doesn’t work
IACV cold use another cleaning, or just some good highway miles.

Overall this is a very nice little commuter. It has taken me to work and back flawlessly for 2+ years, as well as a trip to Wisconsin and back.
Is it perfect, nope. What $2800 car is? Is it nicer and less rusty than most VX's, yep.

If you are curious about the accident, I can provide pictures and an explanation as well. I’ve driven it 5k miles since I fixed it and it’s been perfect. Again, it was repaired right. It needs nothing to be daily driven right now. I’d trust driving it anywhere!

(Service done in the last 25k miles: Tires, timing belt, water pump, cam tensioner, alternator, muffler, radiator, upper & lower radiator hoses, thermostat, brake pads, rotors, drums, shoes, brake flush, shocks & struts, idler pulley, belts, brake master cylinder, clutch slave, clutch flush, fuel filter, A/C compressor, motor mounts, tie rods (inner & outer), axle, upper control arms, lower ball joints, transmission fluid, PCV valves, coolant overflow tank, valve cover gasket, valve adjustment, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, radio, speakers, hatch glass shocks and distributor o-ring. Oil changes are done with Mobil1.)

Reason for sale, wife and I need a small SUV or a wagon with an automatic so she can drive it.

Interesting. I have never seen a VX with a normal VTEC valve cover. All the ones I have seen say VTEC-E. Are you sure that's the D15Z1 engine?

I thought the VTEC-E valve covers were only on the 93 - 95 model year engines.

Thanks OBD1Kenobi, that was my understanding too, that 93-95 had the "VTEC-E" valve cover. It has the 5 wire O2 and falls into lean burn. Nothing about it leads me to believe is isn't the D15Z1, but I'd be happy to take any close-up pics you might be interested in seeing.
