Thanks,

I have been toying with the idea of a reverse nozzle design to increase the air saturation of the radiator. In my head 9 transmission funnels stacked 3 by 3 with the big end at the radiator. Utilizing the current 9 holes in the Lexan to direct and or concentrate the air to the radiator via the funnels. There are a couple of un answered questions I have. What is the optimum angle for the cone so the does not detach the air internally or would this matter less because the fan would be pulling the air through. Would more holes or larger holes be recomended for the inlet.

Initial testing has proven to be worth the mod. Largest increases were found at steady cruise above 45mph. 3-5mpg increse at steady cruise was a nice result.

Views and opinions are welcome??

i think your overthinking it (or i may be oversimplifying my thoughts).

If your car starts to overheat...cut a bigger hole?

on my del sol, full lower grill block, i only had a 5" x 3" rectangular hole in front of the radiator...no funnels or anything. I've never had overheating problems.

Those square-edged holes have the highest drag measurable and are working against you.:o
