Our ambulances transport people with medical problems and cando a lot regarding medical problems short of surgery. My father had a heart attack a few years ago and they came. They sat for 45 minutes. I asked the driver what was wrong. They said they were treating him and radioing medical info to and from the hospital and was better for them to stay put to stabilize him for transport as they were actively treating him.
