Straight E0 Gas!

Found two stations fairly close. Took a little trip today and stopped by one of them. Bought 15 gallons for my bikes and topped the Maxima off.
It was mid grade at $3.49 a gallon. Now that the ethanol subsidy is gone the price was just about the same as all the rest of the mid grade around here.
Guess I will see soon how much of a difference it makes in the CBR 250R, and maybe the Maxima next. Average price of regular here now is right at $3.34.
Last time I had E0 in any vehicle was a fill up in Pennsylvania on a trip to Detroit in 2006.

That's great that you can get E0, but why are you using the mid-grade?
I wish there was more E0 around here.

89 was the only available grade at the two stations within any reasonable distance.
It was the first time the Maxima had been on the road since last Sunday. At a 10 cent higher price than regular I figured it would be worth a try. If I get 10% better mileage then it's worth the difference in price. If I run all of the gas in the CBR 250 and get 10% better mileage the difference in distance using 15 gallons would be about 120 miles.

I will know in a week or two. Right now the fuel gauge which is 6 bars when full, drops to 5 after 15 miles, 4 after 50 miles, 4 after 100 miles, 2 after 135 miles, and 1 after 160 miles, so it will be fairly easy to tell the difference. Last 7 tank fulls on the bike varied by only 3 MPG, with the last lowest average tank due to mostly high speed Interstate riding.

I need to run it down to the last bar flashing this time, to get as much E0 in the tank as possible without risking cavitation in the fuel pump. Weather is not promising tomorrow but after that it looks good.

My first tank of E0 netted a .8 mpg gain over what the UG said, and the second netted 2.5 mpg gain. Am going to check today to see if I under filled last time.

Even if I could find it close, it still costs 10%+ over E10 and would not be worth using.
Having to drive 58 miles (one way) to get it drives down it's usefulness even more.

I was hoping to see that massive 10-30% gain like people theorize, but no.
Not worth it for me.
