Q: Stupid cars or people?
A: Yes. Keyless yet still need a fob: a solution in search of a problem. And the proposed solutions? It's called Rube Goldberg. And the blown pop cans- whaaaat? |
Do people not hear their engines running?
My Volt has keyless start. It'll honk 3 times if you close the door while it's running and the key isn't inside. It'll also turn off after a couple hours in park if there's been no activity (you can get around it by putting a rubber band around the shifter to keep the release pressed down, if you're sleeping in it or using it as a generator). If Chevy can get it right, how hard can it be? |
My stuff all uses keys. Insert key, turn to start or shut off, withdraw key. No batteries, microprocessors, transmitters, or B.S. necessary. Replacement cost about $2.
