swift/metro partial belly... easy
 

I finally got to the first of many possible mods and added a partial bellypan from front bumper back to sway bar. This is easy in my case because I don't have to contend with a hot exhaust system, my Swift is full electric. ;)

I just had to send my instrumentation back for repair/calibration, so I have not been able to do a direct ABA test. The good news is that when I get the instrument back, I should be able to post VERY accurate measurements in kWhr/mile over fixed test course... measuring the actual electric power consumption is easier than gasoline consumption.

If other people want the final 'pattern' I could consider removing and tracing onto some fabric or something for a small fee to cover my time and materials...

I just wanted to let people know what I started with (because I wanted to protect electric motor from water and mud); and that I will have the capability for very accurate measurement soon...

This has been on my list of things to do for the ForkenSwift as well. Primarily to keep the motor compartment protected from dirt & water.

I assume your plans are to keep going to the rear bumper.

I may or may not do the middle, its pretty smooth.... but AM planning to do the rear bumper sooner rather than later because it looks like its such a clamshell parachute! I dunno, it might make more sense to add a middle section next back to where my rear battery box hangs down just to minimize the turbulence under there when it hits the leading edge of my battery box.

easy followup project might be rear wheel covers. Is there any data showing significant bang for the buck on that? any good images of how people have fabricated and mounted the covers to body/wheelwell?

I'd do the full undertray. Also, fully block your grille openings if you don't need the cooling for batteries/controller/DC-DC.
