Leading edge air dam?

Question for you guys;

I am dropping the chin air dam on my car to match the lowest portion of my pan (2013 C-Max). I need to drop it 3 inches. The question I have for you is, would it be best to make the air dam configured in a way that the bottom edge is further forward than the top therefore creating a bit of a ramp to sweep the air upward over the nose, rather than a flat vertical surface? I am thinking to make the lower edge about 1 inch ahead of the rest of the dam. So, there would just be a modest ramp affect (I want to make sure it looks ok).

What are your thoughts?

Matt

I don't think it will make a measureable differance.

That said my current airdam is angled out a little(about 1") previous one was flat, my mpg is about the same.

Thanks for the input.

One other question;

I added a center and lower grille blocks. The air openings are ovals cut into the fiberglass block panels. I assume it would be a very good idea to add radiused edges to the cutouts (so they have a throat like a velocity stack). Is that correct?

Yes, radiused edges are always betterin re to airflow being smooth.
