Is there any way we can get this forum onto Tapatalk? I would love to be able to access it easily from my droid..... :thumbup:

I agree. It would be really nice to be able to use this site more easily on my 3GS.

I think the Admin of this forum has to sign up.. Which takes only 10 min......

We looked into Tapatalk, but because of recent security breaches originating with the Tapatalk software, e.g. the attacks that have infected PriusChat and various websites, we made the decision that having a virus-free site that better safeguards everyone's information outweighs whatever useful benefits Tapatalk might have.

Ah. Bummer. Pity there's not a way to restrict it to paid members, or some other way to keep the spammers out.

The issues are unrelated to spammers, and seem to be a result of crucial security flaws introduced by Tapatalk.

I spoke with the developers, and they indicated that last year's issue was resolved within 24 hours of the bug report. Is there anything they can do that would change your mind?

Or there could be a mobile skin installed to VBulletin. This would allow everyone to access ecomodder on a mobile device without the potential security flaws of tapatalk.

I don't get the issue ?
95% of my posts are from my HTC Espresso.
The web browser works fine.
I can copy and paste from Picassa.
Even special formatting works normally :D :p

Its been 8 months since this last came up, Is it possible to re-evaluate Tapatalk now that they have done alot of upgrades? There has been a major release since and lots of small upgrades.

Ditto this. I'm using Tapatalk on a number of other forums with no issues reported.

Tapatalk has access has been granted by over 38,000 forums and has over 900 very positive ratings on the apple apps store. I chose it for this very reason. It's time for the administrators to forgive the bug and move on. Aren't forums meant to make it easy to share ideas, information, and to network?
My iphone is my networking tool of choice as it fits in my pocket. I'd network with fellow modders much more if I could do it with this one very popular app I have chosen to purchase. Thanks for keeping an open mind.

The android version has 26,327 5 star reviews and 39,138 total reviews. Its a great app for managing multiple forums on the go. I use it daily from my Galaxy Note.

I wish EcoModder had Tapatalk or some good interface for mobile access. My iPhone 4 browser works OK for EcoModder but it certainly would be better to have something set up specifically for a small mobile screen.

I'd like a free application. Mustang Evolution, FireArms, Glock all have their forum applications. I understand and respect not having it, but it would be nice.

It would be nice for a mobile version of some sort, if the security is up to snuff. my droid x works fine, but its hard to read more then one or two posts in a thread.

If its easy, cheep, and secure I am for trying it.

If its hard, costly, and buggy/ insecure then keep whats working :D

Ecomodder is listed on it but no access, every major forum I'm on uses it which would suggest great improvements an being I'm only an iPad , iPhone user it would be great!

Reviving the thread, I'd love to see this on tapatalk!!!

Id be happy if it was on any app. I use autoguide for insight central currently. It makes access fast, navigation quick and posting a breeze. :thumbup:

I know I'm a new guy here but I love using tapatalk on some other forums I'm on. A stand alone forum app would be great too though.

I saw Ecomodder on Tapatalk and that's why I originally registered on the site because they snatched away Tapatalk in favor of the gh3y ass Autoguide app on crzforum.com.

Then I discovered it wasn't accessible. :( Tapatalk encourages lots of content. You should consider it again, admin(s).

Another vote to reevaluate Tapatalk access.

I hate to have to resurrect this (and come out of about couple of years of lurking), but the reasoning behind this is a little outrageous.

Saying that we won't allow tapatalk due to it having a security breach is like saying I'm not going to use the interstate because it's dangerous and I had a friend who died in a wreck on the interstate.

There's flaws in every system, including the very forum we are posting on now.

This very forum could be hacked; and forums are in fact quite vulnerable...

But we still use it because it provides a service that people want - and I think tapatalk is a direct comparison definitely worth reconsidering.

I would be willing to pledge a donation if this happens (unless of course it already has happened - not working on my phone however)

EDIT: In reference to the attack on priuschat that was cited by SVOboy as the reason for not allowing tapatalk - even PriusChat still uses tapatalk.

I'm going to add my bump to this.

Smartphones are becoming more and more of web access, and the Ecomodder forum in its base state does NOT scale gracefully to the small screen (and especially small bandwidth!) of mobile devices.

Really? I use ecomodder on my iPhone all the time without any problems. Even without zooming in I can read everything just fine.

I want to revoke my request as I no longer use that app. :eek:
