Red Civic del Sol EV in Southern Cali
Rolling down the road today in Orange County, a red Civic del Sol homebuilt EV passed me by. I only noticed because of a small hand-written note in the rear window to advise other drivers that he was testing an EV. When I noticed, I'm sure my eyes bugged out of my head. The driver seemed to notice in his rear view mirror and stuck a hand out the sunroof to wave back at me, clearly recognizing a fellow ecomodder. Maybe it was my wheel skirts, maybe it was the "ecomodder.com" sticker. I tailed him about a mile, when he turned off before I could get a good photo.
Great looking car, and a trip to have a moment of mutual recognition like that.
