Tas's TDI adventures...

Warning: extreme fugliness follows

Inspired by the decklid extenders of some salt flats cars, I gave a shot at a quick and dirty coroplast version. Just a proof of concept for my car.

I haven't tested it yet. I think I'm gonna have a hard time getting used to the wtf looks.

Haha, thats great.

Definitly want to see some coast down tests on this. It would help to round off those sharpcorners too.

Sweet

Another TDI Head in here is always a good thing

One with AeroMods is even better :-)

Looks like fun! I just noticed this spring there's an early 90's Mustang notchback around town with one of these on the back - but in stainless or aluminum.

But considering his v8 exhaust is louder than a dump truck and the car is painted fluorescent green, I'm thinking he did it more for the bling factor than the fuel savings. Plus, he's pretty far from the salt flats...

This reminds me: trebuchet never did post the followup to his decklid extension teaser photo, did he? (At least that's what I assumed the photo was.)
