Well, there's your problem. If they had manufacturing defects in their EV batteries, and are now using them in yuuge GW peaking plants, they've increased the chance of fire many-fold.

Yes, but they uave the $$$$ to buy all that non-optimal stuff. Watts are watts, nobody cares how you get there if you have deep pockets (except maybe the accountants that don't know how taxes work)

For mobility it's all Watts per pound/kg
Because; due to Force = Mass X Acceleration;
Watts per pound = Watts per $$

For stationary batteries it's all Watts per $$

Your argument seems to be that 'they' can ignore the high cost, But you can't?
