Tesla police car
It had to happen at some point in time, and this could be it:

If the police in Ontario are anything like LAPD, they won't get used anyways:

I'm not surprised. The range of the I3 does not seem adequate for all purposes. Performance wise they do all right - nowhere near ludicrous mode, but zippy enough.
Whether their narrow tires are any good when there's a bit of unpaved road, or someones garden or whatever to cross remains to be seen. I doubt it. A fat tired Model X in P100D trim would do all of that so much better. If Dubai is not outfitting its police department with those right now they are losing their step. |
My son may or may not have been peripherally connected to a convoy that ran out of the Seattle area into Eastern Washington. They were pulled over en masse by a specialized high-speed pursuit unit of the Washington State Police.
He [may have had] the SRT-8, they had a gold Impala with blacked out windows and dog-dish hubcaps. The next time I find it I'll post a picture of a Eugene Police Department Prius. Dubai is into flying motorcycles. |
Police departments award contracts based on lowest bids. Do you believe Elon Musk will bid competitive with the Big Three? It would be great advertising, but would he?
