Texas 4 ton Cabover

My project for practicality is a 95 Ford 4 ton cabover. Has a Cummins 6bta 12 valve and a 4 speed Allison 545, 2 speed rear with 456/536 ratios. My goal is
to maximize efficiency without breaking the bank. My drive tires are 34.5" tall.
I read that Ford had a 2 speed with a 3.70 and maybe about a 4.56. I am thinking with high flow exhaust. advanced injecter timing, upgraded stock (my
engine is rated @ 195 hp, and other stock ratings were as high as 235 hp with
waste gated turbo) turbo, my power should come up to a level that I might cruise under 2100 rpm at highway speeds. Truck is being converted to a very short flatbed with a winch. I am also looking online at wheel covers and fairings. If I could run 65 and get 15mpg with this work truck empty I would be really happy. Any suggestions or critique would be appreciated.

Best place to start is a good baseline. Log your fuel use. Study driving techniques, especially DWL and DWB. Start with the 109 Driving Tips: 100+ Hypermiling / ecodriving tips & tactics for better mpg - EcoModder.com

I will do that. Need to get the flatbed installed first. Thanks

Hey, neighbor, some pics or sketches or what-have-you would help folks understand the size, etc, of that vehicle. Projected use would also garner some comments (town, highway, both? Loaded 50% of the time or higher? Etc).

When I think of a small COE Ferd, this is what comes to mind:

enjoyed pic of old (48-50) cabover. Will post pics of mine tomarrow. Mine began as a streetsweeper, and the sweep equipment is now gone except the rock hopper which will be gone soon. I will be installing a flatbed and winch soon after. Hopper is so heavy I need to have a crane take it off. I plan to install body panels from a ford p.u. in the void between the wheels from bed level down.
