"This thing is just too aero efficient, change it."

Not sure what the Koreans were thinking here.

I think I need more exposition...?

Are you saying that it would be really low-drag if they'd followed the first window line to the rear instead of putting the box on it? I think there's a row of seats back there....

Looks like it could use fewer doo-dads glommed onto the roof.

Yes I was speaking of the prius-esqe roof line and windows. It looks like they took the the back of a prius and used a can opener to it so they could raise the rear end of the roof and slap a window in there (the triangle window that points forward) to fill in the hole. Thus fitting more seats. And yes they need to remove the roof rack. Or perhaps that's the reason. "The roof rack wont work you need to straighten out the roof more in the back."

While looking at family cars, i briefly looked inside one of these. While U-G-L-Y, it is a very practical "car". The seats are on rails and can be configured in a lot of ways. But it is a pig on fuel, even the diesel. I can't remember the figures but it's bad! I think 30 mpg (imp)?? The aero tail end would probably help things a little but probably not much. At that stage it wouldn't matter if it was coated in pure teflon and Basjoosed to High Heaven! Then again, if you have a big family and you need the space........

This thread has gone too long

Is there anything more to say?

Maybe Alfred Nobel had the perfect aero fix for this car.

thing

Since it made it to production it obviously satisfied the design envelope. What that would be I do not want to consider. If their target was extreme mediocrity then I'd say they've got a hit!

Almost as good looking as the Aztek.

Designed by a committee after numerous "styling clinics" !

Ah, the Rodius. If it was sold in the US, it would replace the Pontiac Aztek as the Worst Design Ever. Of course, since that is not the case, it is not acknowledged often enough.

Great news! Ssangyong is going to be restructured, rather than shut down.
